Pfleiderer says its group sales for the first 10 months of 2007 are set to reach €1.9bn, a 30% improvement on a year ago.
The German panel product and laminate flooring maufacturer told investors at a Berlin news conference that its profits before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) would be between €240-250m – a 15-20% growth on the same period in 2006.
Its western European sales are predicted to account for €890m (excluding Pergo Europe) in 2007, up by 14%, while EBITDA of €140m represents a 35% growth.
The group’s engineered wood activities in eastern Europe are benefiting from the ongoing development of the furniture industries in Poland and Russia. But it is merging production facilities and cutting staff in North America due to the poor economic environment there.
Meanwhile, the integration of laminate flooring producer Pergo, acquired in March, is making rapid progress and will be completed by the end of 2007.
Pfleiderer is aiming for a €2bn turnover next year, with further acquisitions planned.
