A Holzma HPP250 beam saw installed with Magi-Cut CNC software has helped SC Cabinets double its output in just under a year.
The Bolton-based company installed the machine in January and since then, according to operations manager Dave Brown, output has risen twofold.
This was aided by the insallation of the latest version of the Magi-Cut software, which Mr Brown said allowed the company to operate more efficiently and increase the speed of manufacture.
“All our cabinet sizes are different and the software allows us to input parametric data to reduce or explode dimensions as well as creating cutting lists for all extra or difficult parts,” said Mr Brown.
“This new version of Magi-Cut also allows us to carry out upstream processes like quotations and invoicing.”
The HPP250 beam saw was bought to replace a Holzma CHF51 model, which the company had used to size melamine-faced chipboard panels for the manufacture of carcasses for kitchens and bedrooms.
