London Fire Brigade (LFB) has said that the fire at a wood recycling depot in Dagenham was caused by a firework.
The incident, which occurred at Wood Bio Mass Services Ltd’s facility in Choats Road on November 4, involved 40 firefighters and eight engines tackling “an amount of timber the size of a football pitch” that was alight.
LFB confirmed that it took three days for firefighters to be sure the blaze was fully out.
