C Blumsom Ltd has been named as the first UK timber distributor to achieve approved stockist status for Weyerhaeuser’s Lyptus range.
Blumsom already stocks 5/4-thick Lyptus in its product portfolio, but as an approved stockist will now be able to offer the full Lyptus range, including 4/4 and 8/4 thicknesses.
This will allow the company to expand its Lyptus offering to include general joinery, as well as door lipping and vision panel moulds, according to Blumsom.
“We have been extremely impressed with the consistency and quality of this exotic hardwood species,” said managing director Robert Blumsom. “With a guaranteed supply of the full Lyptus lumber range, we will be well placed to service wider markets, which in turn will help drive demand.”
Weyerhaeuser recently delivered its first shipment of Lyptus to Ireland through distributors D Kantor and Heiton/Buckley (Morgan Timber).
