Homag UK says that its November open house was a success, with six machinery orders being placed on the spot.
The three-day event, at the company’s headquarters in Castle Donington on November 7-9, saw 50 companies looking at production machinery for various areas of the manufacturing industry.
Machines on show included Brandt KDN210, KDN340 and KDF660 edgebanders, a Homag KAL310 edgebander, a Holzma HPL380 rear load saw, a Bütfering SCO213 wide belt sander and a Ligmatech MPE110 automatic carcase cramp.
Homag added that CNC machining technology also played a big part in the open house event, with Weeke and Homag machinery being demonstrated.
This included a Weeke BHX500 dual throughfeed processing centre, for single man operation; an entry level Vantage 33M gantry machine, for nesting production; a Weeke BHP200 machining centre with Q-TRIX matrix table; and a Homag AG Venture 22 five-axis machining centre.
