Certification “is an unbelievable success story”, according to the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC).
PEFC UK national secretary and director William Walker said that PEFC was now firmly recognised in the market place” and that the market was realising the importance of certification.
He added that this was now delivering results and that Interbuild had provided the perfect opportunity for PEFC to come face-to-face with its customers. “It’s good we’re here to meet the people that are involved with us,” said Mr Walker. “It’s satisfying to see that the struggle [to certify] is now delivering answers.”
