John Brash & Co Ltd has started to supply eastern white cedar shingles to the UK market as a replacement product for traditional western red cedar shingles.
According to the company, eastern white cedar shingles offer a cheaper alternative to western red cedar products, which have seen a price rise in line with increased demand, as well as providing an aesthetic and economic solution to specifying cedar shingles.
This includes a “high resistance to shock”, a “high degree of thermal insulation” and uniform colouring that bleaches to a “distinctive silver grey”.
John Brash has also published a new product brochure to support the push of eastern white cedar shingles on to the UK market, which includes treatment, grading, fixing and environmental information.
