Commercial joinery producer Castle Post Form Products has modernised its panel sizing equipment with the addition of a Striebig Control vertical panel saw.

The 25-year-old Rye-based company bought the unit to size plywood, chipboard, MDF, laminated and veneered panels, as well as doors. Product thickness ranges from 3-45mm.

The Striebig Control 5216, supplied by Leicester-based TM Machinery Sales Ltd, can cut panels up to a maximum size of 4300x2160mm and a depth of 80mm. It replaced an older German model and was supplied with a scoring saw for use on laminated panels.

Castle Post Form Products, set up by Chris Jenner and Tony Clarke, designs and produces bespoke cabinets, reception desks, wall panelling and other items for use in offices and hotels, with the bulk of its business coming from builders and architects.
