Chemisys International Group is to launch its Cutek Wood Preservative brand in the UK and Ireland.
Cutek is manufactured in Australia and New Zealand and is to be distributed around the UK by Hemel Hempstead-based Specialist Wood Coatings Ltd, which will operate in partnership with the Australian chemicals firm.
The treatment is designed as a non-skin forming oil preservative, which is “formulated to diffuse deeply into any species of timber”.
This includes hardwood, where it displaces liquid to maintain a low moisture content and provide dimensional integrity to offer a longer service life according to Chemisys.
As well as dimensional stability, Chemisys said that the treatment can be applied clear to allow natural greying of the surface and can also be used with other coatings.
