German timber frame house manufacturer Streif GmbH has strengthened its relationship with Brighton-based OSM Homes by taking a 50% stake in the operation.
The new joint venture will be called Streif/OSM Sustainable Building Systems with a target build of 100 units in 2008.
Until now, Streif’s involvement with OSM has been as a manufacturing partner. With its new financial involvement comes the resignation of David Craddock as OSM director & shareholder.
“As a 50/50 joint venture we want to not only increase our technical knowhow but also provide further security to our clients when it comes to contracting,” said OSM’s Hans Kohl.
The new venture will be launched at Futurebuild on February 26-28.
OSM completed its first contract in Lewes last year and has further projects in the pipeline in Hastings, Brighton, Lewes, Kent and North Staffordshire.
