Companies which had booked stands at The Timber Show are being given a “special offer” to exhibit at this year’s Interbuild, either in the Timber Zone, or in other areas of the exhibition.
After discussions with TTJ, Interbuild event director James Gower said that Timber Show exhibitors would be offered a deal on a Timber Zone or Interbuild stand to help offset any loss they may have made.
“In collaboration with TTJ, we have negotiated a special arrangement for exhibitors which had already signed up and made a financial commitment to the Timber Show,” said Mr Gower. “There are huge opportunities for timber companies at Interbuild 2008 and I’m pleased to be in a position where I can offer those affected some tangible compensation.”
He added that, to qualify for the offer, Timber Show exhibitors would need to provide “proof of contract”.
Interbuild says that this year the Timber Zone will be a “centrepiece attraction” of the event overall. The Interbuild architectural area has also been moved to sit alongside the Zone, to create an added draw for architects, specifiers and designers, and a house and commercial building using timber as an “important structural element” will feature at the event.
Interbuild and the Timber Zone take place at the NEC from October 26-30. The W8 working with wood event takes place alongside from October 26-29.
