German glulam manufacturer Nordlam is looking to extend its presence in the UK after achieving Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC) approval, sales manager Klaus Harz said.
The company achieved PEFC approved status in mid-February and Mr Harz said that it was the first step in helping the company extend further into the UK market.
“The prospects are good and it looks like the UK market will grow for us,” said Mr Klaus Harz. “PEFC is a requirement for the UK and it will help us to grow.”
Nordlam plans to exhibit at Interbuild again this year and make its Ecobuld debut in 2009, where it will exhibit alongside other companies from the Rubner group.
