BM TRADA Certification Ltd has appointed Nigel Overton to the new role of head of UK business, consolidating all UK operations support under one manager.
A technology graduate with extensive experience of regulatory requirements, certification programmes and standards harmonisation, Mr Overton joins BM TRADA from multi-sector testing, quality assurance and certification specialist Intertek Group. Within two years of joining Intertek, he had been promoted to director and general manager, systems certification UK. In this role, he assisted in developing the structure and strategy for the global systems certification business, provided technical due diligence and integration management support for acquisitions and grew UK revenue by almost 70% in three years.
Mr Overton has more than 22 years’ experience in the certification industry and has held senior positions in the certification businesses of both BSI and Bureau Veritas.
