Two Homag Group CNC machining centres have helped office furniture manufacturer CPP provide “more choice and wider design horizons” for its customers.

A Homag BAZ222 CNC stationary processing centre and a Weeke BHX500 CNC machining and drilling centre, CPP’s fourth and fifth Homag machines, have been installed at its 27,000ft² manufacturing facility in Skegness, where components for dedicated ranges and bespoke orders are produced.

Both machines have been installed alongside Homag’s woodWOP computer-aided manufacturing software, which CPP said had enabled “high speed, accurate production and ultimate flexibility”.

“Over the years we’ve come to rely more and more on Homag machines for their superior engineering, long-term accuracy and reliability,” said CPP general manager Steve Holyer. “And, more recently, the flexibility of their software in terms of operators and fast set-up.”

The installation of the technology was proceeded by a visit from CPP’s machinery operators to Homag’s Castle Donnington site, as well as to its operations in Germany, in order to undertake training on the machines.
