A combined double mitre saw and dovetail keyway router has enabled door and doorset manufacturer Bridgman IBC Ltd to bring the production of glazing cassettes in-house.

Using a Hoffman MS35SF combination machine, Bridgman said that it has been able to ensure the supply and quality of matching glazing cassettes for vision panels within its doors.

Handling maple, oak, cherry, beech and American black walnut, the machine has enabled Birdgman to take full control of production, capacity and quality and is a “major step forward” in its production process and service to customers.

Hoffman said that the use of the machine can provide up to a 70% efficiency saving by reducing the need for additional processes, labour and clamping time.
