Build Center has donated more than 100 lengths of Finnforest timber to Kirby Muxloe Cricket Club (KMCC) to help renovate its facilities.
The timber was used in the construction of decking around the club’s new pavilion, and was sourced from the building materials supplier’s Leicester Timber Center.
The renovation was carried out as part of the England and Wales Cricket Board-endorsed NatWest CricketForce event at KMCC, which encouraged supporters and the local community to volunteer to help improvements at their nearby clubs.
Staff members from the Timber Center took time out for the event to make sure the renovation was completed.
“We are grateful for Build Center’s contribution in making the project such a success, and are delighted with the greatly improved facilities the club now has to offer,” said KMCC youth development officer Nigel Wain.
The Nationwide NatWest CricketForce programme attracted 1,375 clubs, 85,000 volunteers and saw more than £35m donated in cash and kind.
