The Glued Laminated Timber Association (GLA) has sent a letter to its members to inform them of long-standing chairman Frank Hall’s decision to retire from the post.

A spokesperson for the GLA, which was formed 15 years ago and is based at TRADA’s High Wycombe offices, said the organisation was “small” with five members, with its main role as providing a website resource on glulam and contact point for people interested in using the material.

The spokesperson said a meeting may be held to discuss the appointment of a successor and future direction for the GLA, though it was “early days” and the organisation was awaiting correspondence from members.

Mr Hall’s retirement will take effect at the end of October.
