Domotex, the international trade fair for the floor covering sector, is celebrating the success of its latest Shanghai show and planning record numbers for its Middle East exhibition.
Domotex Asia recorded exhibitor and visitor growth in the region of 10% each, while Domotex Middle East is expecting growth driven by a boom in the construction sector in the area.
Some 1,014 exhibitors were present at Domotex Asia with visitor numbers hitting 39,509, up 10% and 11% respectively. It included representatives from across Europe, the US and the Far East, with parquet and laminate flooring firms having a strong presence at the show.
Domotex Middle East, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 25-27, is expecting 250 exhibitors and more than 7,000 visitors.
“The unprecedented boom in the construction industry has been one of the key factors that have propelled demand for floor coverings in the region, which in turn has significantly amplified the scope for premier international exhibitions like Domotex Middle East,” said Angela Schaschen, from organiser Deutsche Messe’s Dubai branch.
