Dyrup Group, the Danish manufacturer of wood care products, varnishes and paints, has recorded a 2.4% growth in turnover during 2007.

Turnover reached €226m in 2007, with a 7.9% growth in the industrial market aiding the company’s results.

Poland and the Baltic states were key growth areas for Dyrup, with the UK also a central market.

This, it said, was due to the trend towards replacing PVCu windows with wooden alternatives and necessitated Dyrup strengthening its place in the UK market.

This saw it acquire Joinery Coatings Ltd in January and ensure “we have the right products and the right people to become a market leader,” according to Dyrup director Tomas Kjellker.

Dyrup said that it expects to see a continued growth in its operations during 2008, with the UK market expected to grow by 25% and Sweden, Belgium and Italy to provide strong trading conditions.
