James Latham has expanded its Wigston depot by 8,500ft² following the departure of drylining business Nevill Long from the site.
Lathams sold Nevill Long in 2006 to Wolseley UK Ltd and is now using the area to ensure an increased product range will be available to customers.
Timber stocks will include PEFC certified kiln-dried Finnish unsorted redwood joinery in 25-100mm thicknesses, as well as WISA-Plus products supplied in sizes suitable for door and window production.
Extra space will also accommodate a larger range of clear grade wood, with the introduction of western red cedar and Douglas fir to complement the pre-stocked southern yellow pine.
“We feel that the joinery redwoods and clears complement our existing range of sheet materials, flooring and hardwoods,” said Paul Seaton, who will manage and promote the additional products.
