The Prince of Wales has launched the website for his Rainforests Project, a campaign designed to prevent deforestation in tropical countries.
Three films will be featured on the website, as well as the findings of some new research and a message from the Prince addressing the subject.
The Prince has been taking a higher profile stance on rainforest destruction since launching his project at a WWF event last October. He recently appeared on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme and yesterday had a column in the Daily Telegraph, where he highlighted the rainforests as part of World Environment Day.
He is calling on international governments, businesses and consumers to contribute £30bn a year in the fight against climate change through a mechanism enabling poorer countries to value their trees.
