Ladymead Joinery has seen impressive results since installing an SCM Superset Class NT moulder.
The new machine has an easy-to-use electronic controller, model Control 10, coupled with an SCM HSK 85 plug-in tooling system.
When a tool change is required the machine can open up to its fullest height and width, allowing unrestricted access to all the machining heads. It also has the SCM patented, single movement quick setting up system, reducing the amount of manual intervention required.
The investment follows on from the purchase of an SCM Windor 20 CNC window and door machining centre a few months ago.
“Since installing the Windor 20 we simply haven’t looked back,” said Ladymead founder Tony Clark. “The new moulder has had as much of a positive impact on the business as the Windor 20 has had.
