The installation of the bisTrack management system has allowed Huntingdon Timber & Roofing Supplies to plan its expansion into a second branch.
The Cambridgeshire-based independent merchant has installed Progressive Solutions’ software as it transfers its traditional manual sales and stock control system on to computer.
This has provided better business management said managing director David Biddle, as well as a ”margin management tool” to boost the company’s annual £2.2m turnover.
“We were drowning in paper and, as a business turning over £2.2m, the time had come for us to invest in business management software,” said Mr Biddle.
“bisTrack will make our expansion programme so much easier because I will be able to use the system to control both branches from my office here in Huntingdon.”
Mr Biddle added that new modules within bisTrack, such as Scan Track, Web Track, eBusiness and Mobile, helped him settle on the software, and that he plans to utilise the scanning and automatic document linking functionality of Scan Track once Huntingdon’s main system is fully operational.
