Lancashire-based Harrison Saw and Tool Ltd has installed a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in order to help streamline the company’s customer service offering and drive future growth.
The saw blade supplier is now using Solarsoft Business Systems’ xVP ERP technology to “maximise all sales opportunities, increase margins and improve credit control”.
Solarsoft’s xVP system provides management information, stock control functionality and improved sales order processing. This will be used to predict future growth opportunities, Harrison said.
“Our business previously used two different ERP systems but we knew we needed a single system that could cater for our diverse needs and also facilitate the future expansion and growth of the business,” said managing director Tony Cookson.
“By implementing a system that could provide us with full control over our stock and enable us to send customers documentation via email or fax, direct from the Solarsoft application, we can now focus on attending to our customers’ needs rather than stuffing envelopes.”
Solarsoft product director Steven Hargreaves said the xVP system “actively helps businesses deliver the flexible service, sharp prices and reliable product delivery critical to winning order in tough markets”.
