Italian architect Stefano Tagliacarne designed Artek’s stand for the 2008 Milan International Furniture Fair using 750 of the company’s stools stacked and formed into two large “C”-shaped walls.

The two semi-circular walls create three main areas – a corridor, a central space displaying product news and an area designed for meetings.

Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto, sometimes called the “Father of Modernism”, designed the Stool 60 used to create the booth. The stool is made of untreated birch and seat options include birch veneer, linoleum, laminate or upholstered. It is also available stained in white or black with an upholstered seat.
