Cut and edged board supplier Space-Build has doubled its capacity following an investment in beam saw and edgebanding technology.
The Huddersfield company, which supplies to housebuilders, shopfitters, and kitchen manufacturers, had become overstretched with its original machinery and at the limit of capacity.
Managing director Steve Bateman opted for a Holzma HPP30 beam saw and Brandt KDF53 single-sided edgebander to solve the problem. The edgebander applies from 0.4mm melamine up to 2mm PVC coiled tape.
“We’re basically now doing a month’s work in two weeks,” said Mr Bateman.
