Lawcris Panel Products‘ annual charity golf day raised £10,000 for St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.

Held at De Vere Oulton Hall golf resort, this year’s event saw the launch of the Paul Grange Memorial Cup in memory of the Lawcris employee who was cared for by St Gemma’s before losing his fight against leukaemia in October last year.

“We are supporting St Gemma this year, in recognition to the wonderful care they took of Paul and of all the patients at the hospice,” said Lawcris marketing manager Hal Eccles.

Eighty of Lawcris’ customers and suppliers took part in the tournament, with winners Chris Owen, Mark Rhodes, Lee Smith and Simon Edwards just grabbing the cup with 95 points.

Kronospan’s Richard Jones won the nearest the pin, and Matthew Cromwell’s outstanding drive won the longest drive.

The evening was hosted by comedian and charity auctioneer Russ Williams.
