Egger’s chipboard was specified as the temporary tennis court flooring for the recent Davis Cup match between Great Britain and Poland in Liverpool.

But despite favourable comments from team captain John Lloyd and the GB team, the flooring could not help Andy Murray and his team-mates as the team crashed to defeat against the Poles.

Doe Sport supplied 1,040m² of Egger HDX Protect rounded tongue and groove interlocking panels over the Echo Arena’s concrete floor. An underlying strapping system was used to secure the interlock of the floor, which measured 42x24m.

The panels were coated with three layers of GreenSet Grand Prix Acrylic resin, followed by a finish resin to seal the boards.
