First-time Interbuild exhibitor Vinnie Bains was so impressed at the levels of interest his company, Huddersfield-based BG Joinery, was enjoying, that he’s already signed up for next year’s show. And, he said, “it’s been a good indication that there’s still business at the top end of the market.

“Judging from the number of enquiries we’ve had for sizeable projects, the renovation market seems healthy. We’ve taken an enquiry for a major development of period properties that would represent about £500,000 of business for us. That enquiry alone makes our attendance at Interbuild well worth it.”

Accoya windows were being well received. “They are proving popular for the high-end conservation jobs where price isn’t the main issue,” he added.

“All our windows are British-made and I’m disappointed there aren’t more British [window] manufacturers here.”
