Administrators of MFI Retail Ltd have now closed 75 stores, erasing the iconic brand name from towns across the country.
Kroll Corporate Advisory & Restructuring Group, which was left in control of 81 stores after MFI split following a management buy-out earlier this autumn, said the Leeds branch was still open.
Several others outlets, it said, had been sold to MFI Group Ltd, the company set up by MFI management which had bought 106 stores prior to the appointment of administrators.
MFI Group Ltd now operates a business approximately 60% of the size of the MFI operation which existed in September.
In 2006, the MFI chain was famously sold to Merchant Equity Partners for just £1.
