The group’s chairman Francis Rougier visited the nation’s capital Monrovia recently, where he met government representatives, the Forestry Development Authority and others involved in the forestry sector.

The company currently has plywood and sawmilling operations in Gabon, Cameroon and the Congo, with an emphasis on producing timber products from source rather than exporting roundwood.

Rougier’s vision is to be a leading force in the production and marketing of African tropical timber from forests operating under sustainable management.
