Setra’s Horndal sawmill is to reduce production by 10,000m³ to meet reduced market demand.

Fifteen of the mill’s 40 employees will be affected by the decision.

“We must adjust production to market demand, said Anders Palmborg, manager of Setra Horndal.

“The window industry, which is our most important customer group in terms of volume, has cut back its production and we are forced to do the same.”

Horndal is a specialist mill for high quality Swedish pine and spruce aimed at the joinery industry, particularly the windows sector. Existing production totals 40,000m³.
