TRADA and Carpenter Oak & Woodland are to stage a seminar outlining how to design an efficient and cost-effective building from green oak.
The Green Oak in Construction event, in York on February 24, will include an introduction to green oak as a construction material and a video tour of Carpenter Oak’s framing yard to better understand the scribe framing process of creating a green oak frame.
It follows the popularity of last year’s Green Oak in Construction seminars in Scotland and Wiltshire, with TRADA saying three of the four events sold out as soon as the dates were announced.
The half-day Green Oak in Construction seminar is to be held at the Sandburn Hall Golf Club, York with tickets costing £55 plus VAT for TRADA members and £75 plus VAT for non-members.
