An eco home development in Rochdale featuring FSC-certified doors and windows has won a Silver International Green Apple Award for environmental practice and sustainable development.
The development features FSC windows and doorsets made by Littleborough-based Performance Doorset Solutions.
As well as the PDS Eco Door, the Halifax Road homes feature low energy light bulbs, low water content toilets and radiators, low flow rate showers and high efficiency gas boilers.
The development has also achieved a “Very Good” Eco Homes rating, Secured by Design Accreditation and the Lifetime Homes Standard.
