Intumescent seal supplier Mann McGowan has successfully completed a range of product tests in accordance with the British Woodworking Federation‘s (BWF) Certifire scheme.
The Mann McGowan group’s testing, in accordance with Certifire technical schedules 21 and 35, follows the BWF’s initiative to define a standard BWF 30-minute fire door frame using a 15x4mm intumescent seal.
The Aldershot-based company says its ID range of intumescents can be used as a fire seal, a combined intumescent fire and cold brush pile seal or a combined intumescent fire and thermoplastic smoke seal.
Its Flexifin smoke seal has also been tested in accordance with BS 2750 for sound reduction, while glazing seals, including Pyroglaze 30, 60 and Channel, have also received Certifire approval.
