German wide-belt sanding machine manufacturer Bütfering has won an innovation award for its radio thickness gauge technology.
The company, part of the Homag Group, won the Innovation Award of the German Economy at an awards ceremony at Frankfurt’s Old Opera House.
Bütfering managing director Franz-Josef Bütfering was congratulated by federal premier for Hessen Roland Koch.
Mr Koch emphasised the importance of innovative medium-sized businesses in the German economy and encouraged Bütfering to continue research and development.
