TRADA Technology Ltd has created a new Construction Technical Services division, headed by Dr Andy Pitman.
The new division encompasses three areas of activity: building performance, headed by Robin Lancashire, offers design evaluation, on-site inspection, structure, acoustic and thermal testing and consultancy, training and under the frameCHECK brand specialist Timber Frame Services; materials, headed by Elizabeth Bartlett, provides laboratory analysis of timber and related products, technical due diligence, expert witness and woodwaste management/biomass consultancy; and structural investigations, headed by Philip O’Leary, encompasses condition assessment of timber and wood-based assets, site investigations, repair specifications and maintenance schedules.
TRADA Technology managing director Andrew Abbott said: “Our expertise lies not only in timber, but also in the construction industry per se, so it is important for us to grow our business, bringing in additional expertise, to anticipate market requirements. The new structure will enable us to develop a matrix of services to meet customers’ needs comprehensively and effectively.”
To support the Construction Technical Services division, Chris White has been appointed to the new role of business development manager, reporting to TRADA Technology head of business development Mark Wilkinson.
A former Royal Marine with training in engineering and construction, Mr White has business development and facilities management experience in the construction sector, most recently as key accounts and partnering manager within the Grafton Group.
