Participants from across Europe are being urged to attend a workshop organised by PEFC International and PEFC France to discuss the proposed revisions to the Chain of Custody Standard.
The workshop, which takes place on May 13 in Paris, will enable attendees to share experiences, develop a deeper understanding of the chain of custody and help shape the criteria of the revised Chain of Custody Standard.
Aimed specifically at stakeholders from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK, PEFC says the workshop will be of interest to users and potential users; procurement professionals from government and business; certification bodies; accreditation bodies; consultants; and NGOs.
The revision, expected to take effect in 2010, is part of PEFC’s commitment to continuous improvement. Since 2004, more than 5,000 companies have achieved PEFC chain of custody certification against the current standard.
