The Natural Wood Floor Company won the £26,000 contract to supply quarter sawn European oak strip flooring for the West Wing refurbishment at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
Design consultant for Greenhill Jenner Architects, Alison McLellan, wanted the new oak timber floor to match the quality and style of the original staircase in the Grade 1 listed building.
The 422m2 floor was fitted by Metic Wood Floors, sub-contracted by main contractor Costain, and it was sealed using Bonakemi Traffic.
