The Timber Packaging and Pallet Federation (Timcon) has extended its worldwide representation with the appointment of its president, John Dye, as international director of the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA), the US timber packaging industry’s key organisation.
Mr Dye’s new position further increases TIMCON’s participation in international issues affecting the wooden packaging and pallet industry; TIMCON’s Immediate past president Gil Covey is treasurer of European association FEFPEB and also represents TIMCON on the FEFPEB taskforce for ISPM 15.
Bruce N Scholnick, president and CEO of the NWPCA said: “The wood pallet industry is an international business. The opportunities and threats are a global concern. By working collaboratively and co-operatively we benefit not only our industry, but also the many industries that rely on wood pallets to move their goods throughout the international supply chain.
