A Suffolk interiors specialist has installed a Brandt KDN520 single-sided edgebander to expand design capability and production output.
Update Interiors, of Woodbridge, sourced the machine from Homag UK for its work producing furniture for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and home offices.
The company, which has experienced year-on-year growth since starting five years ago, is using the Brandt to apply veneers and thin (0.4mm) edgings but the machine has the capability to edge finish up to 3mm PVC.
Peter Esteller, business partner at Update, said: “The Brandt machine gives the confidence and scope to take on unusual work. It is also a very good machine to operate and versatile enough for all our workshop staff to use.”
