Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified timber from Congo Brazzaville will be the focus for discussion at a seminar in London on June 25.
James Latham plc and the DLH Group are holding the event at the Building Centre, where speakers will include James Latham chairman Peter Latham, Scott Poynton, director of the Tropical Forest Trust and Lucas Van der Walt, DLH’s environment manager.
The event will cover the market drivers for timber certified as coming from well-managed forests and meeting the new UK government timber procurement policy.
Delegates can also hear how the supply chain is ensured from forest to final customer and the availability of FSC-certified Congolese tropical hardwood in the UK.
