More than 250,000 homes in the UK have been built with JJI-Joists in the past four years, according to the product’s manufacturer James Jones & Son.
The company’s timber systems division, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, said it had invested a total of £7m since its inception, with the Forres manufacturing facility now incorporating two I-joist lines, one finger-jointing line and a newly commissioned web line.
“I have been here since the start and it has been wonderful to see the demand for I-joists grow and the division flourish over the years,” said Brian Robertson, divisional general manager.
James Jones is the largest UK-owned producer of I-joists.
