The introduction of a KoolKut KK12 panel saw at AA Joinery has speeded up the company’s processing of large sheet materials.
The Poole-based company formerly used an ageing combination saw to cut panels, which had been adapted over the years to make it easier to process large sheets.
AA Joinery’s manager Gary Smith explained: “We had outriggers bolted down to the floor to help steady large sheet materials. But in the end we tended to simply try to avoid cutting large sheets altogether.”
He said the KoolKut had reduced manufacturing times, while its vertical measurement guide and horizontal quick stops were useful for producing door blanks and working with fine veneers.
The KoolKut range, supplied by Silchester-based Sagatech Industries Ltd, is available from £2,995.
