Latvia’s port of Riga handled 4.25 million tonnes of timber in 2001 – an increase of 2.5%.
Meanwhile, round timber exports at Estonia’s AS Parnu Port decreased from 1.45 million tonnes in 2000 to 1.13 million last year.
Total freight volume went down, mainly because of the timber decrease.
