Homewood Woodworking Machinery has added a new showroom to its West Sussex premises to demonstrate the Swedish-made MOReTENs range.

The Worthing company, run by husband and wife team David and Louise Thomas, converted a store room to enlarge the showroom area for demonstrating machines aimed at cabinet and joinery businesses’, sawmills and boatbuilders.

Mrs Thomas said the cast iron chassis MOReTENs range included the PH260 four-sided planer and moulder. She said a recent joinery customer which bought the machine has cut its processing time of French oak down from a full day to just one-and-a-half hours.

Homewood concentrates on supplying smaller companies which generally employ between one and 10 staff. Other ranges it supplies include Startrite, Robland, JET and Scheppach.
