TV gardener and author Alan Titchmarsh planted the millionth tree along the line of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) at Boxley, Kent, recently.
He joined representatives from Tilhill‘s south-east district office who have been working with CTRL to landscape the route.
Tilhill’s contract with CTRL for this section of the Rail Link has included 22,500 extra heavy standards, 500,000 transplants, 100km of fencing and three years’ maintenance.
