Northumberland-based timber haulage business RT Nicholson has installed PM On Board weighers on its eight vehicles ensuring that all drivers can now load right up to the maximum permitted legal limit.
Paul Nicholson, who runs the family business, said working to maximum payload is essential, and added: ‘In any event, the Road Haulage of Round Timber Code of Practice stipulates quite clearly that timber hauliers must operate with a weighing device.’
