A timber frame design and technology day at Flight Timber Products attracted 20 architects from 16 different practices.
The event, the first held by Colchester-based Flight, included presentations by company co-owner Gary Kent, Martin Milner of CCB Evolution and Paul Kemkaran-Thompson of BEEAM.
Peter Keogh of SIPs Eco Panels made the case for using SIPs, saying the product offered faster build times, reduced foundations and energy-efficiency credentials.
The architects were given a guided tour of the factory to see Flight’s production line.
