Norvik Timber Industries chief executive Sampsa Auvinen has taken over the duties of managing director of Continental Wood Products Ltd (CWP) in addition to his existing role.
Former managing director John Phillips is working on the restructuring of CWP into two separate units: timber importing unit, and shipping and port unit. He will continue as managing director of the shipping and port unit. A new managing director for the timber importing unit will be appointed soon.
Norvik Timber Industries consists of Vika Wood, Byko-Lat and CED in Latvia, Laesti in Estonia, Jarl Timber in Sweden, Norwood SM and Komilesbusiness in Russia and Continental Wood Products in the UK.
